on life without the fear of hell.
i stumbled upon this blog post tonight. i’m wrestling with a lot of spiritual stuff recently. i’m not sure what i believe about a lot of things and found this post(and all the comments) to be really thought provoking. i honestly couldn’t tell you what i think/believe on this topic, but i thought i’d share it case you’d like to read. <3
at 44 I have finally decided I can be a Christian who doesn’t believe in hell. The wonderful thing about that is I don’t have to explain why, or even be right. I have so much to say about this, but I am controlling myself.

Marriage is not
a house or even a tentit is before that, and colder:
The edge of the forest, the edge
of the desert
the unpainted stairs
at the back where we squat
outside, eating popcornwhere painfully and with wonder
at having survived even
this farwe are learning to make fire
“Habitation” by Margaret Atwood. (via attackshipsonfire)
This was the poem on our wedding invitation. we didn’t spend a lot of time planning our wedding. we were too busy preparing for our marriage.
